CODE VEIN II | Denuvo Anti-Tamper Removed on PC

The CODE VEIN II Denuvo protection has been removed from the PC version, with the change arriving alongside the game’s Ver. 2.01 update in September 2026.

CODE VEIN II initially launched on Steam on January 29, 2026 with Denuvo Anti-Tamper and a five-system-per-day activation limit. The DRM notice has since been removed from the game’s Steam store page.

The removal coincided with the September 8 release of Ver. 2.01. Bandai Namco did not mention the removal of Denuvo in its patch notes, which instead detailed new content, balance changes, optimization work and bug fixes.

The update also added the Age of Harmony post-game content, a Legacy character shader inspired by the original CODE VEIN, expanded Photo Mode features and, specifically on Steam, support for NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex.

CODE VEIN II is a standalone action RPG set in a different world from the original game. It is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
